Obituary for Maureen C. "Reenie" Pruitt

Maureen "Reenie" C. Pruitt, 60, of Brecksville, OH passed away on March 19, 2018. She was the beloved daughter of the late Adriel Modglin and Frances (nee Connell).

Reenie was a Spanish Professor at Cleveland State University and had her Master's Degree in both Accounting and Spanish. She had a passion for teaching, learning, her family, nature, and life in general. She embraced all people, places, and cultures. She wanted to spend every moment discovering new opportunities and lessons. She wanted to inspire others to do the same.

She is survived by her loving children Miranda Pruitt (Christopher Seltzer), Alexis Pruitt (Justin Algeri), Michael Pruitt, siblings Kathy Kalafut (George), Beth Kenney (Bill), Sheila Modglin, Rita Bauman (Lynn), Rick Modglin (Susan), Stephanie Casey (Sean) and her fiancé Rodney Ehlert.

In lieu of flowers, please make a check payable to Alexis Pruitt. Funds will be donated to an organization that supports education and learning--to further her passion for discovery (after the cost of funeral and services).

Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OHIO 44141 on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 3-7 pm with a time of sharing from 7-8 pm.
