Obituary for Georgianna Kastelic (Svoboda)

GEORGIANNA KASTELIC age 96. Cherished wife of the late John P. Kastelic (passed 2013, age 101) loving mother of John R. (Charlotte); dearest grandmother of Ian, Jake and Tim; great grandmother of Autumn Rose Mento; dear sister of Lad Svoboda (Clarice); aunt and great aunt of many. Georgianna, born in Cleveland Ohio in 1922 to Marie and John Svoboda , was a graduate of Jane Adams and wed John P. Kastelic of Maple Heights, on Dec 8 1945. They spent 15 years in Evansville Indiana, then were transferred back to Cleveland by Osborn Manufacturing Co. in 1959. After renting for a year on Highland Drive in Brecksville, they built their own home in 1961 on Wyatt Road in Broadview Heights. In the later years, Charlotte, her loving daughter-in-law, came up from Texas to provide care until it was time for a nursing home. Georgianna passed away Friday April 27, 2018 quietly at Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas less than a year after moving from Ohio to be close to her son and family. Georgianna’s funeral service will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 5:30 pm at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until service time. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
