Obituary for John E. Pasek
JOHN E. PASEK, “PAPA”, 73, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. Beloved husband of Kathy (nee Streibel), loving father of Michelle “Shel” Tocchi and Barbara “Barb” Scherer (Mike). Devoted grandfather of Zach, Amanda, Mikey, Allie, and Matt. Special Papa to Ash and to many others.
John was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Helen Pasek and his brother James (Jim). He is survived by his brother Robert (Bob) and James’ wife Felicia (Phyllis). He was a favorite uncle to several nieces and nephews and adopted as a “special” uncle to countless others.
John and Kathy have a unique bond with their friends, Jim and Diane Hafer and Dennis and Linda Derbin. Although Jim passed away in 2002, their exceptional devoted relationship to each other is admired by all.
John’s favorite hobby was being outdoors. He truly enjoyed camping, boating, horseshoes, golfing, and many other activities. He also loved bowling and playing cards. One of John’s favorite pastimes was socializing with anyone he would meet. He had an uncanny ability of making everyone feel extraordinary and never forgot a name.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. If you are in need of an idea for a charity, John and Kathy are avid believers in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Family will receive friends Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd. Brecksville, OH 44141 from 2-4 pm where John's funeral service will begin at 4 pm. Interment at West Richfield Cemetery, 4219 Broadview Rd. Richfield, Ohio will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 3 pm (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY).
