Obituary for Helene Ann Egley (Galuska)

HELENE EGLEY, age 100 of Brecksville, OH passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 surrounded by her family at Hospice of Medina County. Helene was born April 10, 1917 in McKees Rocks, PA to Andrew and Anna Galuska. Her family moved to Cleveland where she met the love of her life, Bill. They married in 1941 and resided in Brecksville. She was the loving mother of Diane Korfhage (Kurt); dearest grandmother of Jennifer Sinha (Raj) and Jessica Schmidt (Bryan); Great-grandmother of Jaden, Emerson, and Lilly; and sister-n-law of Barbara Galuska. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Bill; sister, Margaret Campbell (Tom); brothers, Edward and Andrew Galuska and nephew, Bruce Campbell. Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2-5 pm where Helene's funeral services will be held Monday, January 29 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park, Twinsburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Helene's name to Lutheran Church of the Covenant 19000 Libby Road Maple Heights, OH 44137. The family would like to add a special thank you to the nursing staff at Medina Hospital, Hospice of Medina County and Brookdale Medina South for their loving care.
