Obituary for Doris V. "Dorie" Mazaros (Reiner)

Doris "Dorie" Mazaros, 92 of Vermilion, OH passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Kingston Residence of Vermilion. Born September 19, 1925, in Cuyahoga Heights, OH, she was the daughter of Joseph T. and Violet J. (Kessler) Reiner. Doris graduated from Independence High School, Independence, OH in 1944. Before retiring to Vermilion, OH, she was employed for over 25 years as a customer service representative for Medical Mutual of Ohio in Cleveland. Dorie was a member of the Independence United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church, Vermilion, OH where she was a soprano in both choirs. She loved to sing; she had a song in her heart. Gardening, cooking, and cheering on the Cleveland Browns were her pastimes. Preceded in death by her parents and her sister Verna, Doris is survived by her nieces, Cheryl (Ronald) Rudolph and Susan (George) Harizal; grandniece, Mindy (Rick) Ternes: great-grandnephew, Marshall; goddaughter, Dorothea (Eric) Krammer and her cat, Baby. Graveside Services will be held, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mapleshade Cemetery, Independence, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Kingston for the excellent care Aunt Dor received.
