Obituary for Theofil Lant

Monday, night January 1, 2018, we wished our husband and father, Theofil Lant, a loving goodbye. He passed away surrounded by those he devotedly loved and cared for. He was an amazing man: a chef of many culinary dishes, a professor of German Literature at Cleveland State University, an extraordinarily talented pianist and organist of classical music (Bach being his favorite), and a faithful friend to many, young and old. His laugh and orations will be greatly missed. No one could tell a story like Fili. He was a loving grandfather to Becky and Danny, a cherished Dad to Wolf and Chris, a loving father-in-law to Susan and Julie, a devoted husband of sixty years to Martha, a brother to Cornelia Felmery (deceased) and Emilie Lotz (Phillip) and an uncle to Monika Feld.

The visitation hours will be this Friday evening, January 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, OH 44141 (440) 526-6050. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, followed immediately by interment ceremony at Brecksville Cemetery at 9012 Highland Drive, Brecksville, Ohio.
