LEONARD EDWARD KUNKA, age 73, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Beloved husband and soulmate of 50 years to the late Gloria Marie (nee Hrynak). Cherished father of Michele Konecek (deceased), Leonard V. Kunka (Jen), Nicole Brobst (Jim), George Bulick (Amy). Loving grandfather of Justin and Joshua Kunka, Brooke, Benjamin and Anna Brobst, Quinlan, Sydney and Ellyson Bulick, Alexis and Zachary Konecek. Son of the late Winnie and Peter Kunka. Brother to the late Peter Kunka (Diane). Uncle to Pam and Susan Scully, Kelly Sedivy, Karin Kagan, Peter, Mary, Jimmy, Marchelle and Cristina Kunka. Dearest lifelong friend to Loretta and Tom, Kathy and Martha.

Len was a South High graduate, an independent business owner, then later attended technical college and retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in June 2017. He was honorably discharged as a Sgt. E 5 from the U.S. Army.

Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. followed by Len's Mass of Christian Burial at the Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus, 3649 East 65th St., Cleveland, OH 44105 at 11 a.m. Private interment will be held at Brecksville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus in Len's memory would be appreciated.
