Condolence: I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers to the family of Joe Matts. He was a wonderful man. I got my start in the engineering profession at HWH in the mid-1990's, and learned a lot about the business from Mr. Matts.

Condolence: I am so saddened to learn of Joe's passing. I worked with Joe on many engineering projects during my nearly 40 years with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a true professional and a fine gentleman. It was a joy to see him walk into our offices with that smile on his face. I haven't seen him for the past nine years or so, but still feel a loss.

Condolence: Joe was a true gentleman and a huge resource to the facilities Planning Department at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. In that capacity I worked with Joe for 30 years on various planning projects. He was always totally interested in making certain that we had made the correct decisions regarding the plant layout and the scope of the project. With his varied experience he would subtly question whether or not I had considered a different approach, never too forceful mind you, just a suggestion. Well those suggestions often found there way into the layout!

Condolence: I can't explain to you all how deeply sadden the passing of Joe is to me. I have had a recent death in my own family and this is equally painful to me. Joe and I worked together for 52 years and during all that time he showed great concern for me and my family. In this time of sorrow my prayers are with Mary Ellen and the rest of the family.
