Obituary for Robert F. "Bob" Andree

Robert F. "Bob" Andree
Robert F. Andree, “Bob” passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was 91 years old.  Devoted husband of Lue Andree (Barnett), loving father of Pam Bliss (Nick) and Matt (Paula); grandfather of Skye, Clay and Carl Andree; beloved cousin of many.

The son of Raymond C. and Anna K. Andree, he was born and raised in Rocky River, Ohio and graduated from Rocky River High School. After graduation, he went into the Army and shipped out to the Pacific Theater, where he served in the Occupation forces in Tokyo.  Following his discharge, he attended Cleveland College and graduated from Western Reserve University, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi.

Bob then went to work for Copper and Brass Sales, serving in various capacities around the country and eventually retiring as manager of the Cleveland branch after 40 years of service.

He was a long time resident of Brecksville, Ohio, where he served in several civic positions, including the Planning Commission, and was active in the United Methodist Church.  He was a 50-year member of Kiwanis and served as Governor of the Ohio District.  He also had a lifelong interest in airplanes, aviation history and the Cleveland Air Races.

Bob will be remembered for his love of gardening, concerts at Severance Hall, and old movies.  We will all miss his smile.
