JOSEPH C. WASKO, age 98, longtime resident of Garfield Heights and 40 year owner of Wasko’s Marathon; loving husband of the late Lillian (nee Wieczorek); cherished father of Jim (Donna), Roy (Barbara) and Joseph; dearest grandfather of Dorothy Lamvermeyer (James), Jimmy (Aubrey), Gina, Scott (Heidi), Kevin (Kristin), Lindsay Biondo (Ron), Raymond and Michelle Lind (Keith); loving great grandfather of 12; beloved brother of Stanley and Chester and the following deceased: Henry, Kate, Sophie Mraz, Betty Lesniak, Rose Sikon and John. He was a founding member and active participant in St. Monica’s Parish. Also, a past Commander and life time member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1812. Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2 - 6 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME, Monday, January 30, 2017 at 9 a.m. followed by Joe’s Mass of Christian Burial at ST. MONICA CHURCH, 13623 Rockside Rd., Garfield Heights, OH 44125, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
