Donald Ray  Butler
DONALD RAY BUTLER, age 91, longtime resident of Brecksville. Beloved husband of Pat for 67 years; loving father of Bob, Bill (Linda) and Dave (Nancy); dear grandfather of Jack, Grace, Gina and Evan; brother of the late Marion Comstock (Frank) and Arlene Butler (Milton Dolinger); uncle of Craig Comstock, Gayle Comstock, Chris Kuhr and Rev. Bob Walton. Army veteran of World War II serving in France and Germany with the 401st Field Artillery Battalion. Don received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology and had a longtime career in the molded plastics industry, including Vlchek Plastics Company, now Flambeau, Inc., in Middlefield, Ohio. He served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for most of his career and was an active leader in the American Fishing Tackle Manufacturers Association. Over the years, Don volunteered his time freely to help others including the Kiwanis, Jaycees, Playhouse Square, Society of Plastics Engineers, various city committees, church men’s group, not to mention countless friends, neighbors, and relatives. Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Thursday, January 26 from 2-4 and 5-6:30 p.m. Don's Funeral Service will be held at the Brecksville United Methodist Church, 65 Public Square, Brecksville, OH 44141 (Route 82 and Brecksville Rd.) on Friday, January 27 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Brecksville United Methodist Church in Don Butler's name.
