Paul B.  Tuininga
PAUL TUININGA, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 with his loving wife, Mary Rohr Tuininga by his side. He was born on December 23, 1948 in Berlin, New Hampshire, son to the late Lynn Tuininga and Doris (Campbell) Tuininga. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived his children Don (Shannon) Tuininga, Karen (Adam) Steff and two grandchildren Kaitlynn and Kassidy Steff. Paul's siblings also survive; Duncan (Carri) Tuininga, Dean (Karen) Tuininga, and Carole (John) Silva.

Paul enlisted with the United States Air Force on May 6, 1968, serving in Vietnam where he was awarded a Vietnam Service Medal, along with an Air Force Commendation Medal. Paul was discharged with honors, with the rank of Staff Sergeant on June 5, 1972. While living in MA and NH, Paul was employed as a Computer Information Systems engineer at Wang Labs, Agilent Technologies and Philip Medical, and he earned his MS degree in CIS at Boston University. In 2007 Paul and Mary moved to OH where he began his employment with the Cleveland Clinic as a CIS engineer.

After his retirement from CCF at the end of 2010, Paul enjoyed reading, volunteering and teaching Math at the Men's Shelter of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, teaching Math to local junior high school students, and volunteering with the Honor Flight program based in Cleveland, Ohio. Paul was a member of the Strongville VFW. He loved to play cards and was a Cribbage and Euchre enthusiast. Paul had mastered the woodworking and delighted so many people with his gifts of pens, other creations crafted with his laser cutting machine, special designed wood shelves, etc., Paul and Mary loved to travel and experience life to its fullest, and together they shared many exciting adventures and created lasting memories. But most importantly Paul found a forever place in so many hearts, young and old, family, neighbors and friends, and strangers too.

Family will receive friends at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE ROAD on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2016 from 1-3 p.m followed by a celebration of Paul's life at 3 p.m.
