CORINNE J. HOWSON, nee Yassany was, born in Brecksville on June 6, 1916. On September 3, 2015 she quietly went home to her Maker having lived a full life for 99 years. She is survived by two devoted daughters; Judith and her husband Gerald Calkin of Richmond KY and a grandson, Eric of Richmond, KY and daughter Patt McClain of Chagrin Falls, OH. She is also survived by a dear sister-in-law, Opal Yassany of Seaside CA and a number of nieces and nephews in CA and St. Thomas, VI. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert of Seaside CA and Joseph of Willoughby OH and a sister, Betsy Cook of Lakewood.

Corinne grew up in Brecksville, married and raised two children. After they were grown she worked as a Secretary at the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic of University Hospitals. She was physically active her whole life and after retirement moved to The Schnurmann Housing Community for Senior Citizens. There she volunteered at their library and delivered meals to other residents during the week and helped any way she could. She also spent time traveling to the Caribbean several times, visited friends in Florida, and enjoyed Switzerland with her daughter Judith when she was 81. She was also a great knitter, learning many tricks from close knitting friends. She knit Aran sweaters for her immediate family which are now precious mementos. She will be greatly missed by family and dear friends.
