LaVerne L.  Ardo (nee Joseph)
LaVERNE L. ARDO (nee Joseph), age 82, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She is the beloved mother of Louis D. (Doris E.), Michelle M. (deceased), Audrey E. Beattie (Jack), Timothy M. (Bonnie Swanek), Thomas L. (Brad Marzenski-Ardo), and Jeffrey J. (Rondi). She is the dearest grandmother of Rocco James Ardo, as well as being “Aunt Lovey” to many nieces and nephews. She is survived by one sister, Vera Hovanec, as well as the following deceased family members: parents, James and Anna (nee Soltis); siblings, Helen Krause, Beatrice Sielski, Emily Lucas, Rita Vituj, James, and Marian Russo. She retired in 2003 from food service work in the Brecksville- Broadview Heights School System. She will be remembered by everyone for her sense of humor, determination, love of cooking and baking, and love of animals. Prayer Service will be held at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. followed by LaVerne’s Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Church, 9183 Broadview Rd., Broadview Hts., OH 44147 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the FUNERAL HOME, Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. If anyone wishes to make a contribution in her memory, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or UH Hospice.
