GORDON G. FOERSTER

FOERSTER GORDON G FOERSTER, age 90 of Brecksville, Ohio, passed on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.

Beloved and devoted husband of the late Florence Joan (Glover) Foerster; loving father of Janice, Jeffrey, Scott, and Craig; grandfather of Stephanie and Claire, Adrienne and Matt, Andy and Kimberly. A WWII veteran 1943-48, Gordon attained the rank of Master Sargeant USMC serving in the Pacific theatre on the USS Badoeng Strait's aircraft carrier operations. He attended Western Reserve University, graduating Summa Cum Laude as its top student in the School of Business and enjoyed a successful career as a CPA. Gordon owned and operated the Brecksville Road Transit Co. He was Master of the Theodore Breck Lodge in Brecksville, a board member for its Rainbow Girls chapter supporting his daughter as Worthy Advisor, an active supporter of his sons' high school and college varsity wrestling careers, an active square and round dancer, and an award-winning wine maker. Funeral services were held privately. The family suggests contributions be made in Gordon's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the Rose-Mary Center. www.Nosek-McCreery.com
