Beth Nancy  French
BETH N. FRENCH age 76. Beloved sister of Jim (Mary) and Sarah Robinson (Al); loving aunt of Teresa, David, Jason, Sandy and Stacy; dear great aunt and cousin; special friend and colleague to many.

Beth graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1960 with a BA and taught at Iron Mountain Central Junior High from 1960 – 1961. She then attended Case Western Reserve University and graduated in 1964 with her Masters in Library Science. She worked at Cuyahoga County Public Library from 1962 until her retirement in 2003.

She was a member of the American Library Association, Ohio Library Council, Freedom to Read Foundation, Beta Phi Mu, Church and Synagogue Library Association, Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, White Shrine #16 of Traverse City and the Northern Michigan University Alumni Association.

Beth was active in a number of local organizations including Order of the Eastern Star #537 Brecksville, Brooklyn Heights Women's Service Club and Cleveland Zoological Society adopt an animal.

Beth passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 5 at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD. AT 4 P.M. The family will receive friends from 3 – 4 P.M. prior to the service.

A Committal Service for the entombment of Beth's cremains will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum, on Monday, October 6, 2014. Anyone wishing to process to the cemetery should meet at the funeral home no later than 9:30 A.M. Monday morning.
