MICHAEL EDWARD O'CONNOR
Please join us for a celebration of the life of Michael Edward O'Connor on Saturday, August 17 from 2-5 PM. It will take place at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, Ohio 44141, with a eulogy by family members around 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served at the family's home, 9509 Oak Park Dr., Brecksville, Ohio 44141 immediately following the gathering.

Mike, 66, of Brecksville, Ohio, died Sunday in Cleveland. Born on October 1, 1946, he grew up in New York City in the Bronx. He earned his BA in Art and was enthusiastic about drawing and painting throughout his life. He married Janice Phelan in 1977, and they moved to Newtown, Connecticut, where they lived for 25 years. In April of 2012, Mike and Janice retired to Brecksville, OH.

Mike was actively involved in the community through coaching his children's sports teams and serving as a church elder; he was a small business owner, a devoted husband, and a loving father. He is survived by his wife, Janice Phelan; three children, Meghan O’Connor (John Irvine), Daniel O’Connor (Maria), and Sheila Fitzpatrick (Tom); and two grandchildren, Conall Irvine and Kaylee Irvine.
